The purpose of this course is to help you build strong foundations for your marriage. The course looks at: how to recognise and appreciate your differences, the art of communication, making each other feel loved, keeping intimacy alive, shared values and expectations, managing conflict and the wedding ceremony itself.
A couple from the church lead each session and there is plenty of time for you to discuss things as a couple – don’t worry, you don’t need to share anything with anyone else if you don’t want to! There is also time for questions. The course is open to everyone and usually about half the couples who attend don’t normally come to church.
This course costs £20 per couple - so just book one place.

MARRIAGE PREPARATION - RELATIONSHIP FOUNDATIONS
This course is for engaged couples, couples considering making a commitment or any couple who wants to take time to build strong foundations for their relationship. We have been running courses for couples since 2007 and have supported over 700 couples in that time. There will be a presentation by our experienced presenters and lots of time and space for you to chat as a couple.
The Marriage Prep (Relationship Foundations) Course helps individual couples prepare in the best way possible for their life ahead. We give couples the chance to explore key areas of their relationship with the aim of helping them prepare emotionally and relationally for a wonderful life together.
We look at: how to recognise and appreciate your differences, the art of communication, making each other feel loved, keeping intimacy alive, shared values and expectations, managing conflict and the wedding ceremony itself.
We can provide certificates of attendance at the end of the course for anyone who needs one. The course is recognised by the Church of England and Catholic Church as a legitimate form of marriage preparation but please also check with the person officiating at your service as some priests/vicars will have additional requirements.
